Practice Background

Dr. Lasher has been in practice in Paducah since July 1996. She relocated her office to the Marshall Nemer building in May 2005. We have recently welcomed a new physician, Dr. Amanda Wagner, to our practice. There are also two nurse practitioners working closely with them to provide quality care to our patients.

About Our Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are Advanced Practice Registered Nurses who have received special courses and training enabling them to provide high level primary care treatment to patients. Kentucky state law permits Nurse Practitioners to engage in independent practice.

Our Nurse Practitioners work closely with our doctors and independently perform physical examinations and preventive health measures including pap smears and breast exams within prescribed guidelines and instructions of our physicians.

They order and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs. When appropriate, they discuss cases with physicians and other health professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan. They can prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy or related therapeutic procedures.
